June 25, 201213 yr Has anyone else tried to create a hotkey for the terrain button on the Captain's EFIS panel? All the other buttons work on a hotkey except that one. The TERR button on the Captain's EFIS panel when operated with a hotkey, erroneously toggles the terrain on the FO's EFIS display. I discovered this a few months ago. The NGX keyboard shortcuts are common to all models so it makes no difference which model is loaded. I submitted a support ticket, to which Ryan responded to confirm that it is a bug in the software which he has put on the list of fixes to be included in SP2. The captain's TERR button when operated with the mouse, does work correctly. Therefore in the meantime until SP2 is released, you can toggle terrain on the Captain's EFIS display by creating a FSUIPC mouse macro and assigning this to a key command. You could also (as I have done) run it with a bit of simple Lua script activated through FSUIPC. Hope this helps. Cheers, Emile Bax.

I only discovered it a year or so ago but it's opened untold possibilities for my modest home cockpit - as has Lua scripting which admittedly presents a much steeper learning curve . This will really help me out. I hate .lua scripting because I'm terrible at it. This seems so much simpler. AJ Pongress
