An amaaazing discovery

Featured Replies

Well - maybe I'm the only stranger in Jerusalem ... but I only discovered tonight that the default textures for the C172, will fit like a glove on the RealAir C172.I was trying to edit the purple and green textures of that wonderful plane, and saw that they have the same "crash" textures as the default C172. Wait a minute! - I thought, what about the main texture files. I tried them and voila! They worked. Now I have a wonderful plane with much better textures than those "puke-purple" and green.Maybe I'm a bit late to discover this, but thought to share it with guys who like the plane and who got stuck in the cockpit.RegardsT

hi Texcellent mate... you never know til you try eh?? steve

do you remember back when you installed the Realair C172?you had to make a copy of the default C172 folder, then install the Realair panel, batman textures and airfiles etc. into that...amazing...? ;-)Best,Martijn

Yes, the only difference in the RealAir C172 and the Default C172 is the FDE, Panel bitmap, and the textures. The Visual Model is the same. So yes any and all default textures and/or repaints will work on the RealAir C172.
