May 26, 200422 yr When I start at a small airport, like KELY, the only choices for a position are on a runway. I usually taxi off the runway before signing on line, but I think it would be great to just add a parking spot and start there. There are other small places I would like to add parking to, and, now that I think about it, there are large places that I would add my own parking place to, if I knew how.Can someone point the way? Thanks - Steve
May 26, 200422 yr I'd be willing to teach you. I have MSN: [email protected] and AIM: Kwsqd. Talk to me on one of those and I'll walk you through the process, starting at KELY. I'm working on two biggies: KLAX and KDFW right now so if you want some more advanced stuff I can show you that too. Hope I can help!*Edit* If you don't want my help and want to learn on your own, start by downloading the program that enables this: AFCAD by Lee Swordy. It's here at AVSIM.:-jumpyCheck out my work: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...Weik&CatID=Root------------------Kenneth [email protected]
May 27, 200422 yr Thanks, Ken! I can't get the e-mail addys to work. I am looking forward to learning. My address is [email protected]. Have a good day - Steve Armstrong MTN547
May 27, 200422 yr If you haven't, also try searching the AVSIM library, in the Airport and Facilities Data section for an AFCAD2 file that someone may have made already. If there are commercial flights to that airport - even small carriers - PAI or Ultimate Traffic may have AFCADs available for download as well. I'd be happy to help to - or even make an afcad for you - my email is in my sig.Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
May 28, 200422 yr Thanks, all, for your help. I got AFCAD2 and read the instructions right away. It is so well explained and such a good program that I was able to make some needed changes to airfields right away. I'll keep using it and learning how to do more with it. Thanks for steering me toward it.
