This isn't exactly a crash, but often times FSX will minimize to the task bar while in full screen mode, and for no apparent reason. It takes a lot of double clicking to bring it back up and resume the flight. Usually the first two or three times of trying to bring it back up it goes straight back to the task bar.

 

This occurs with any add-on, and external add-ons on or off, like AS2012.

 

Also, I did the highmemfix and that solved my sim locking up in the middle of flights.

 

Any suggestions on the minimizing?

Sounds like another startup program is starting up on a schedule and causing FSX to minimize. You might want to run MSconfig.exe in the Run command box and select the startup tab and disable (uncheck) any unneeded startup programs.
