Biggest disappointments - 2014
Drzewiecki Design New York Airports and Moscow UUEE. They do not seem to be made by the same developer of all of the Polish Airport sceneries. They just look terrible, especially the runways. They also perform terribly. I hope he doesn't screw up Warsaw. Next would be no announcement that the NGX is getting priority for a version 2.

Priorities - What Are Yours?
I'm putting my money into my real flying first. With what I have now my focus is to get better with understanding accents on VATSIM in Europe. Eventually I want a faster machine, and a throttle quadrant. Then I'll assess what's next from there.

Any Lodz simmers here?
I'm in Lodz for a two weeks, just curious how many simmers are in this city.

Where is your 737 now?
I just parked her for a few days in Wroclaw, EPWR.

Goodbye EZDOK
I've had zero problems with EZ and find it very helpful to navigate the VC. I tried Opus for weather and it was terrible. Terrible wind shifts and incredibly high air temp at high altitudes made the plane fly terribly. I dismissed the rest of the program, but I may try the cameras after reading comments here, but I will not use the weather, I'm sticking with AS2012.

Let's talk our styles
I hand fly the departure until it gets boring, then engage the AP. I disconnect the AP for the turn to final or localizer capture. I often disconnect the autothrottle for final. The only time I do autoland is for CAT III

RTA simulated ?
I don't think it's simulated. This is the one problem I have with FCOM that PMDG releases. It's neat to read about what the plane actually does, but it can be hard to decipher what is actually simulated.

Why Does Everyone Love Lufthansa?
I've flown on them long haul a few times. My last round I was not pleased, every flight left late. My flight from Dallas to Frankfurt left two hours late, I barely made my connection. My flight from Munich to Newark left four hours late, I missed my connection. Overall, the airline seems ok, and the interiors of their aircraft are nice. My only real complaint is the east bound and west bound flights have the same entertainment selections. I like how American has one set of movies east bound, and one set west part. If I watch everything going east bound on Munich, I'm bored coming back west bound.

Controlling the brightness
Go to the overhead panel, look for the master brightness, and turn it down, or press the button in the center of the master brightness dial. That disables global brightness settings, and you can control each display individually.

Full EZCA for 777
My experience setting up EZCA for the 777 has been the exact same for every plane I setup with EZCA, and it's all outlined in the EZCA manual. Add a camera view and name it, press the Num 2 button on your keyboard, set your view and zoom using a combination of arrow keys and the mouse, when you're happy with the view, press Num 2 again to set the view. Rinse and repeat for as many cameras as you want. Do it with the 777, the 737, the Q400 and whatever is in your hangar.

Now that the 777 is out, whats next?
I think there is plenty up ahead. For me, the 737NGX, and the 777 are the only two planes I really want. So I'm just looking forward to the NGX service pack 2, and more scenery. I won't be getting the 747.

Why I would pay double/triple/anything for a PMDG 777 that works in P3D (or X Plane)
People's experience with FSX is so interesting in this regard. You have some people with powerful computers, and then there's someone like me. I run FSX on an iMac, which is not super powerful hardware wise, the only fix I've had to do is the HIGHMEM fix. Other than that, I run the 777X and the 737NGX with AS2012, and a ton of high quality airport scenery, and I use traffic. I get great frame rates, and a great experience overall. Are my graphics as detailed, and as pretty as some of the screenshots I see? Nope, but my graphics are also not set at the bottom for everything. Someday I'll build a dedicated FSX computer anyways to try to push the graphics up, but I'm having so much fun flying these two birds, into great airports, crash free, and that's more than some people can say in regard to this sim.

LNAV and VNAV not disengaging
Is it by design? This is from the manual: VNAV deactivated: • by selecting TO/GA, FLCH SPD, V/S, FPA, ALT or G/S pitch mode • if dual FMC failure VNAV is disarmed by: • pushing the VNAV switch a second time, or • arming APP LNAV deactivated: • by selecting heading hold (HDG HOLD) or track hold (TRK HOLD) • by selecting heading select (HDG SEL) or track select (TRK SEL) • when localizer captures • with dual FMC failure (LNAV may be re–activated if there is an active CDU ALTN NAV route available) LNAV is disarmed by pushing the LNAV switch a second time, or by arming LOC or APP. It says pushing it a second time should disarm it.

LNAV and VNAV not disengaging
Engaging LNAV and VNAV is no problem. Pressing the LNAV and VNAV buttons a second time or a hundred times does not disengage it. I have to change modes or disengage the autopilot altogether. Anyone having this problem?

Important airports without payware
Moscow for sure. Pretty much all of the US. Only handful of US air carrier airports in great detail are covered. Europe has tons of great airport sceneries to choose from. This why I primarily fly in Europe on FSX.

AoA 737 FlightWork
I can't imagine paying for any product like this. In preview shots, the quality looks great. For me, there has been no airplane that I have not understood after tinkering a bit on the ground with the manual, and a few test flights of my own. The NGX is super easy to learn, I don't think paying for these videos is needed.

iPad app for navigation
If you use XP10 and you are also a real world pilot that uses ForeFlight, you can use ForeFlight. It integrates with XP10 perfectly.

Is my iMac suitable for PMDG aircraft?
Don't pay attention to the ones saying its overpriced and won't play games. I don't want two computers, and for daily use, the Mac is best for me, and I occasionally want to play games, and it does it fine. That said, you need to dump parallels and use boot camp. You will get much better performance. I run the PMDG MD-11 and 737NGX always into high quality add-on scenery, with traffic, and I get around 30 FPS. I play other games too just fine, but I mostly use my windows partition for FSX. I'm using a 2011 21.5 iMac to give you an idea of my system.

Big planes, little routes, yes you can.
I'm not sure if American still does this, but at one time they had a 777 flying from ORD to DFW. When I was at UPS we ran the 747 and the MD-11 from DFW to SDF.

Need of detailed comparison between 737NG and A320?
The issue with ECAM messages is that they can be overwhelming and cause fixation. The messages can be very useful, but there is such thing as having too much information to sort through and not enough time. There have been accidents involving pilots becoming overwhelmed with information. Another problem with many ECAM messages is the possibility of becoming fixated on them. There have also been accidents in which pilots fixated on such things and ignored the bigger picture. I think ECAM warnings are great, but more doesn't always mean safer. Displaying the relevant is probably more important. The problem with is that the relevant can change depending on the situation. Coming up with an algorithm to determine what is the most relevant in any given situation can be a big task.

The 777 is so big!
It'll be just as easy to fly. Size of the aircraft doesn't always correlate with how difficult or easy a plane is to fly.

777 2D Cockpit?
It's interesting that you point out how some very fast hardware doesn't mean the greatest performance. I'm running an i5 iMac running FSX in boot camp. I don't have my sliders maxed out or anything, but I don't have everything low either. I run the NGX into pay ware airports with AI traffic, weather, and upgraded weather textures. For the most part I can keep my frames rather smooth in the 3D view. Only two airports out of many have killed my frames. I was floored when I found my iMac running the NGX no problem, I was expecting it to not work and be out some cash. That said, I still like the 2D for certain things.

MCPhat ATR coming soon
Agreed, I won't be buying it.

Wouldn't it be cool if PMDG did a CRJ-200?
My opinion is that the CRJ is rather boring, and ugly, inside and out. If PMDG were to do some sort of regional jet, or any developer to do a highly detailed regional jet I'd rather see an Embraer E-Series. I know Wilco has done them, but they're junk.
