Anyone interested in flying over the oil field rigs.....They can be located as follows.......Take off from Kenai Muni ( runway L1) and fly a heading of 300 degrees this will take you to the beginning of the oil field......I think there are about 10 rigs located there.....I had some great fun trying to land the Cub there....without success...LOL

Try flying under them. It looks easy until you see the cables.

I managed to land on but not stay on because I had chosen mixed weather and had a 68kt head wind. The brakes just don't hold you against that kind of wind. :lol:
