reverse thruster problems

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Just recently, when applying reverse thrust I get the rumbling sound and lights in the aircraft indicating the thrusters are engaged, but there is no change in any engine readings (N1, N2 EGT, EPR etc....) and a view from outside shows exhaust cones haven't moved. Nor does the planes stop more readily. This is true with addon planes as well as fsx default planes. I also have the same results pressing F2 as I do with my joystick setting.

I recalibrated my joy stick ( cyborgx) to make sure throttles are set properly to enable the reverseres. All is well there. I have the slider all the way to the right on the "decrease throttle quickly" option. I reset the button option on my joy stick as well as the keyboard( F2). Again, I get rumbling sound and reverse thruster lights in the aircraft but no engine readings or exhaust cones moving as they used to. Planes do not stop more quickly than they would without using reversers. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks,

Brian

Have you got it setup to repeat on settings?

Did you use reverse thrusters before or after you touched down? Because there have been instances where the reverse thrusters will make noise as if they were activated but in reality they are not. You must have touched down first for reverse thrust to work. I don't believe this applies to Props though.
