Open letter to all developers

Featured Replies

Hi all FS addon developers,I'm the guy who made 'GA-Traffic', 'AI-Contrails' and 'FS2k4 METAR'. After AVSIM offers us now the possibility to get a place in ther forum I have another idea I liked to see here. I call it 'Developer' forum. This place should be open for all, but should focus on developing addons, test them and so on. As I started my last project I tried to get ALPHA/BETA testers for it and have posted a invoice at several places, but got only little response. So a 'Developer forum' would be a great place to look for interested users and developers, who will spend there time in testing and help to got more addons ready. Another point would be the sharing of ideas and programing solutions. I'm willing to release all my source code here, so other developers can use it and didn't need to program the functions by itself. Also I have several ideas for addons in my mind and maybe some people could help me with them, or maybe take my idea and make the addon?I posted a message in the 'Letters to the Editorial Staff of AVSIM' forum (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=118&topic_id=957&mode=full).So if you think it would be a good idea to have a forum for ALL developers post your opinion there.

The forum is moderated so it will take a while but I posted there. Another thing that could be handy is a library section for source code with some new license entries like: GPL, not available for commercial products etc. I will contribute with the source code of all my stuff except the ones integrated in a team.Jos
