July 18, 201213 yr Hi Folks. Does anybody know what is going on with my FS? Just lately, what ever jet I use, when flying at e.g. FL310 or FL350, I get what looks like serious turbulance, when there isn't any. My IAS jumps between 240 and Overspeed, and if not monitored closely and arrested, the plane just eventually gets stressed due to the overspeed and crashes. I can't understand what is causing this. It never used to play up like this. Anybody got any ideas please. I thought it may be my weather engine REX, but it seems to do it whether the weather engine is running alongside or not. Hope you can help. John
July 20, 201213 yr First, I'd try flying with no weather loaded whatsoever. Pick the "Clear Weather" theme from the FS9 Weather dialog box, or choose "Fair Weather". You should encounter no turbulence with either one of those themes set. If you don't, then the problem's either the weather engine you are using, or I suppose it could also be that (if you have it installed) FSIUPC could have some default weather settings which might be causing the problem you're reporting. I fly almost exclusively commercial jets. I own REX for FS2004 and use their textures, but not their weather engine. For that, I use the default FS9 real-world weather via Jeppesen, and I almost never have the type of problem you're experiencing.
