Virtavia aircraft - how they rate?

Featured Replies

As there are a lot of Virtavia aircraft now available for FS9, I thought it would be worth rating these for anyone who is contemplating buying one or more of them. Keeping things simple I am going to rate them on a scale on 1 to 5, where 5 would be aircraft of the iFly 737, PMDG 747, Level-D 767 class and 1 would be perhaps not much better than freeware. Although I have a large number of old Alphasim aircraft (many of which are now marketed by Virtavia) I am not including these as I am not sure if the Virtavia version might be an upgrade on those I bought from Alphasim. Anyway, here goes with the Virtavia aircraft,I have tested thus far:

Bristol Beaufighter 3

C-17 Globemaster 4 (would be a 5 had a little bit of attention been payed to systems)

DH Hornet 3

F7U Cutlass 3

F-86 Sabre 2/3

F-89 Scorpion 3

Martin Mars 1/2

SH-2 Seasprite 4

B-24 Liberator 4

V-22 Osprey 4

CH-53 Sea Stallion 4

DH Vampire 4

Heinkel He111 4

Lockheed Hudson 4

Clearly this is just my personal opinion and others may disagree with me, but most Virtavia aircraft are very flyable and many, particularly those which I have rated as 4 are really a pleasure to fly, providing you are not a systems fanatic!

It would be good to hear the views of others particularly for aircraft I have not mentioned here.
