June 6, 200421 yr I have Ultimate Traffic and other FS2002 add-on installed and I'm not shure what happend but at KORD I now only have two runways listed in FS2002 the active runway and 32R. I do have a lot of gates and parking area listed but only the active and 32R are listed.I don't know if Ultimate Traffic did this or some other add-on that I have installed removed the other runways at O'hare.I would think that the other runways at O'hare should be listed in FS2002 ?Thanks for any ideas or help you can give me getting the other runways listed again.Scott
June 6, 200421 yr Hi Scott,Checking the O'Hare airport in Top-Down-View I see 6 runways, i.e. one can land in 12 directions. What do you mean by "listed"? Is there a list somewhere, which I have missed?Roland
June 6, 200421 yr Author I mean showing up in the drop down menu in FS2002 There is somthing wrong with my KORD Scenery and I'm not shure how to fix it. I think one of the add-on programs did somthing weird maybe it was UT when it recompiled the AI traffic.Scott
June 7, 200421 yr Ultimate Traffic installs a bunch of custom AFCAD's for parking spaces. It may be that the AFCAD downloaded from UT only included two menu choices. I would get AFCAD version 1.x (for FS2002) and find the appropriate UT AFCAD file and open it and see if that is the case. Otherwise, you can simply delete the UT AFCAD file and replace it with one by Project AI or a number of other freeware authors out there, and it should work. Or you can simply delete the AFCAD file and FS2002 will default to the default airport data. Be sure to get an AFCAD from the FS2002 library, since FS2004 and FS2002 AFCAD's are not compatible with each other.
June 7, 200421 yr Hi again,Found the list. There are actually 14 runway directions:4R 22L4L 22R9R 27L9L 27R14R 32L14L 32R18 36Roland
June 7, 200421 yr Author Hi Roland,Many thanks for the reply, I'm new to AFCAD files and not shure where there are in FS2002 and how to re-compile them. I'm good with FS2002 and computers so I just have to figure out the details. Can you please tell me the location of the file that I need to edit and what is the best recompiler for the AFCAD files. Thanks Scott
June 7, 200421 yr There aren't any AFCAD files (as such) in FS2002. Instead, they are distributed as .txt files, and an installer is used to update the default AFD files. AFCAD 1.4 can be used to selectively uninstall the updates made to the default files (at least if AFCAD was used to install them. I assume UT uses the AFInstaller utility.) Maybe what UT did was create overlay airports and set the runways closed/open accordingly? In worst case the installer should have left a copy of the default files in scenedbafdfilesscenery with the file extension .Original which you could copy over the corresponding usglaf03.bgl file to restore to default (losing the updates to any other airports in that file as well). scott s..
June 8, 200421 yr Author That's what did happen. I did have all the original back up files that UT made in that directory.I did what you said and the runway's did come back at Chicago O'hare My question now is the usglaf03.bgl that does this only affect the centreal US ? what dows the other 04 05 ect bgl files do ?Also do you run UT. Maybee I just need to compile just the central US again in UT to get the overlay airports out ?Any ideas. Thanks Scott
