Help with Project Skyworks CRJ Installation

Featured Replies

I just installed this great looking CRJ700 but I don't know where the files in the panel directory should go. Looks like the gau files should go to the gauge directory, but what about the xml files and the files in the 1024 and 640 directories? Thanks for your help!Airbus

Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

if you have FS9 you can put all those files in the aircrafts/panel directory with the panel.cfg

I moved all the gau files to the gauges directory and left the other subfolders/files in the panel folder. The panel shows up, but most of the gauges don't work, e.g. autopilot. Still stuck.Airbus

try just putting all the gauges in the panel directory

I did that also, but the panel is not completely functional. Since there are files that appear to belong to a 640 and a 1024 folder, I thought they needed to stay there. If someone has this aircraft installed and the panel works for you, please let me know where you put all the files. Thanks!Airbus

Is not much the help that I can give you. I installed the AC but when I opened the main panel bmp file (before installing it) I discovered it is a photorealistic panel, which I personally don't like at all. Therefore I installed the AC with another panel that I had installed in my Posky CRJ-200, which is the same panel but not photorealistic. I am not really sure the name of the file, but I am pretty confident that if you look in Avsim for CRJ 200 panel you will find it.Then you have to copy paste from the panel.cfg the lines related to the VC and the AC is totally ready to go.I don't know if you tried how this CRJ flyes, but I can tell you that by far is the best CRJ-700 freeware.I am eager to get Skyworks final version with repaints.Leo

how well done is the VC? Can you fly the airplane from the VC at all times? thanks!

It is not a clickable VC, so I would say you cannot fly from the VC at all times.Other than that I just flew the AC once to try it and now will wait until Skyworks releases some repaints and paint kit to fly it again. I'm not 100% sure but I think gauges were not really visible either (remember I replaced the main.bmp and its gauges, so probably they are visible with the panel that comes with the AC).Anyway, the CRJ great, the best by far compared to any other CRJ freeware. The visual model is beautiful, and the FDE are just fantastic.Leo
