Since W10 is no longer "free," is it safe for all users of W-7 to remove the GWX program from their PC? I can't believe Microsoft would still be holding out for some last minute "forced" installations! Airbus

I started the update process by starting the download for new libs to be followed by the FTX central download. My mouth dropped when I saw the size of the download! The estimated time for the download seemed to vary from 30 minutes to 10 hours!!! Fortunately I had not presses the " start install" yet so I cancelled the download so I could find out what is going on. Thanks for the heads up; like you I don't want to mess up FSX! Airbus

I don't have the $$$ to purchase the WX Advantage gauge at this time. I had Roland's gauge working well in the last version of the MU-2, but I have been unable get the gauge to work in Rev 2.2 after trying to edit the panel.cfg files. Could someone please post new edits to Rev 2.2 so I can use Roland's gauge again? Thanks! Airbus.

I am still having problems getting FSXFollow to work every time. It seems that this error; "send error WSAENOTCONN" keeps me from using the product. Does anyone have a suggestion for another app that would allow me to use a moving map on my iPad while I am flying on my PC? Thanks for your help! Airbus

I found the switch to use the windshield wipers and stop them, but could not find the switch to park the blades. Anyone know? Airbus

Some people have unacceptable performance or other issues from their recently installed video driver that they "roll back" to a previous driver using the device manager. If they are following recommended driver installation procedures i.e. clean install, they should have completely uninstalled the previous driver. So how can one "roll back" to a driver that doesn't exist on their system since they just uninstalled it! Am I missing something? I can understand downloading and installing a new driver which would make more sense. Airbus

Hi Ray: How do you know which are the 'advert' updates and how do you hide them? Do you have to read thru each update before you install? I already have the "GWX" icon in my system tray and have had some popups bugging me to install W-10. Hoping I can shut this off before it is too late. I will probably get W10 later when, hopefully, things are sorted out. Airbus

Thanks for the info on the latest Garmin database! I found a file on the Garmin website called GTN_GDU620PCTrainer_6010 which I downloaded and unzipped. Unfortunately I did not find the AVTN_WW_DB.bin file in any of the subfolders. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. Would someone please provide a link to the correct update location? Thanks! After several flights over the last few days I can confirm there are no issues with ASN! I cannot reproduce the problems I had earlier and all is well now. Even the last update installed with no problems. Airbus

I purchased ASN SP3 for FSX and tried it out. The main screen stated weather mode was active and it was waiting for FSX. I launched FSX and checked the dropdown addon-menu to get the ASN weather report but there was no entry! Even CTRL+11 would not work! I know ASN was running because the task manager said so. I must be doing something wrong. Could someone please help me? Thanks! Al

I know that you can use the GTN 750 or the Reality XP WX500 gauge in the MU-2B panel. However is it possible to fit the Reality XP GNS 530 instead? I posted this in the Flysimware forum but no answers yet. Anyone know how long the sale will last on the FS Pilot Shop website? Thanks! Airbus

I want to buy Palm Springs airport KPSP which apparently requires FTX Global Base. Since I don't have Global Base yet will I have serious compatibility problems with my FSX textures, mesh, elevation issues, etc? I also want to buy Monterey KMRY airport which requires FTX Northern California. Since I don't have Northern California can I expect serious compatibility problems there as well? I understand I may have texture blending issues near boundaries, but I don't want floating buildings, taxiways and runways. FTX Global Base is a wish list item for me! Thanks for any help! Airbus

Having met you in person several times I know of your dedication and enthusiasm to the flight sim community. Sorry folks, my bad! I had installed a new environment for REX and it included a different appearing sun. Once I switched the sun to standard the sun was back to FSX default. Airbus

Is there some way to adjust the size of the sun? For some reason my sun is very large and not realistic. I would like to reduce it. Thanks for any help! Airbus

I really love the Seneca panel! Only problem for me is I don't own the XPGNS 430 so I can't take advantage of a nice upgrade! However I own the XPGNS 530 which might work within the panel (better) and/or a popup gauge. In fact I saw a photo in the review of the Seneca by AVSIM showing the GNS 530 in the Seneca. A long time ago I had some guidance installing this gauge in my newly purchased Piper Cheyenne. Does anyone know if and how it could be done? I realize I may have to make some sacrifices, but I am willing to give it a shot even if its just a popup gauge. Thanks for any help and advice! Airbus

Anyone have this problem? I will be flying along and I get a sudden windows minimize event. FSX is NOT crashing because I recover by bringing up the task manager and select "switch to FSX" and all is well again. I run windows 7 and auto update is turned off. Whats really interesting is I have another PC running games in windows XP and I get this event. Maybe my router? Maybe my internet provider? Maybe magnetic waves? Thanks for any help! Airbus
