Brian: Good luck getting activated on the Cayman Airways (LatinVFR) forum! I have been trying for months even to the point of sending messages to Ricardo with no response. Maybe someone who reads this post can tell us how to get activated. Since I live about 7 miles from KBWI on the approach to 33L, I can't wait for the FSX version to come out since I don't use P3D (I know this is a P3D forum)! Good luck getting your issue resolved! I am considering purchasing X-Plane and would like to try the demo first. How much drive space will the demo consume? Is the demo a fairly accurate measure of performance? If I decide to buy this product how much drive space will the software consume? Will I be able to transition my sim hardware I.e. rudder pedals, yoke and flightstick to X-Plane? Thanks for your help! I am using Flight 1 B200 version 1.3 for FSX. I noticed that there is a 1.4 version which I somehow missed. Is it worth the effort to update to version 1.4 first before going to version 2? Will I miss anything important by not reinstalling to version 1.4? Thanks for your help! Airbus

I just wanted to make sure that I have the latest version and build for Active Sky Next. I am using the latest version of FSX. My ASN version is 1.0.6255.21938. The build is 6255. Is there a check for updates when ASN is started? Please let me know if I am up to date and if not where to get the latest and greatest! Thanks for your help! Airbus

Everytime I sign in and try to post in the LatinVFR forums I get a message that my account has not been activated! When I first registered I followed their procedure to get my account activated but nothing has happened. I even sent Ricardo a private message about this issue and there has been no response. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a another way I can reach out to them? Thanks! Airbus

OK folks the panel=RDR_GTN was the fix. I should have picked that up if I had looked at the other cargo versions. Thanks for your help! Al

Hey Scott: Downloaded and installed AirNet "We Remember" but it does not show up in the aircraft selection menu. Tried to fix the aircraft.cfg file by editing some lines to make them consistent with previous entries. Here are the last few entries including the 2 for N27TT. Please take a look and see if you can spot an error. N500LL shows up, but N27TT does not. I also rechecked that the correct texture folder was present. fppilot: Saw your instant message come up while I was browsing in another forum. Thanks for responding. I decided to try to figure things out and spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to work with fltplan.com and doing the things you just mentioned. Bottom line...it works. I set up one of my routine fight plans on fltplan.com and the same plan on my GTN 750 (Learjet 35A). I watched myself taxi, takeoff, and track the plan perfectly. I tracked my plane on the approach plate all the way to the destination runway. What a blast! Thanks for your help! Airbus

I got the ipad app working and was able to connect to FSX and see my aircraft on the map screen at my selected airport successfully! How do I get my flightplan route to appear? Since my aircraft has a GTN 750 do I just create the flightplan there and it will show up on the map? Do I have to use fltplan.com to create and save a route? If I create multiple flightplans on fltplan.com, how do I choose the plan to display? Thanks for your help! Airbus

OK I downloaded the app again and ran it and it looks like it worked this time. I see the icon on my windows 7 desktop. I still have to configure everything with my ipad.. Thanks for your help! airbus

OK I finally got around to buying the Lear 35A immersion package and created an image that I wanted to share and perhaps get some comments. I previously posted this image in FSFX packages forum but received no comments. I think the lighting is too bright and there is a "swirling effect" in the light beam itself. The swirling effect may be difficult to see. I don't think this image looks the same as the images provided on the FSFX packages website. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the volumetric lighting? Are there settings I need to change? Thanks for any help! Airbus

Hello: Just tried to download and install the Fltpln Go app for FSX on my windows 7 PC and I get a message, "the signature of this program is corrupt or invalid." Did anyone encounter this error when they setup the app on their PC and if so, what did you do to install the app? Thanks! Airbus

Looks like things are getting a little better regarding the volumetric lighting effect! I actually read some of the user's manual, duh!! The manual has a metar that I entered into my weather program to demonstrate the lighting effect. So I entered the low visibility one into my ASN. I also had to use either night, dusk or dawn to see the effect Here is what I saw at dusk: https://pix.sfly.com/u_hQX8 The lighting effect looks a little too bright for me. Also there are these strange light beams that extend from the shaft of bright lighting. It looks weird from the cockpit! I thought the volumetric lighting would look like the video on the FSFX packages website! Is there anyway to fix this? Is there a setting in FSX that I need to change? I have the windows 7 operating system and use MSE, malwarebytes (free edition) or superantispyware (free edition) randomly. Before I create a backup image I always run CCLEANER and at least 2 of the programs mentioned. These programs rarely find anything but are easily quarantined. Airbus

Just recently purchased the Lear 35A immersion effects product and tried it out tonight. I was really impressed with the youtube movie showing all the effects!. I looked for the startup smoke effect here at KBWI at a daytime setting with the temperature below freezing and did not see any effects. I then changed to nighttime and with all aircraft lights on I saw no "volumetric" landing or recognition lighting during the entire flight. I did not check for other effects until I could resolve the current issues. I also checked the new aircraft config file and noticed all the changes that were made by FSFX. I must be doing something wrong. I am using FSX with Flysimware Lear 35A version 3.0. Thanks for any help! Al

This is the first time I have ever received an important driver update on my windows 7 PC. The update text is "Nvidia display-10/23/2017 12:00.00AM-23.21.13.8813." I have never seen this before! I did a google search and it looks like its for Windows 10, but I am not sure. I was able to hide the update but not sure if it will come back again. I don't want to be forced to update a display driver! Can anyone explain this further and advise? Thanks for your help! Airbus

Looking at picking up the Aerosoft A320 and the Flysimware Lear 35 packages. Do these packages have any significant effect on performance? Currently I have no issues with the A320 or Lear. Is there anything I should be aware of during the install and setup? Thanks for your help! Airbus

I am seriously thinking of buying CP. I have read a lot of favorable comments. If you were looking for another example of interactive checklists the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended has them. They also zoom in to the area on the panel where the checklist item is located. It is a great learning tool.

I have the FS2004 version and was wondering, before I spend the time, if anyone had tried to install it in FSX. Did you have to make any modifications? I was thinking of getting the Flight1 FSX version but it is a little too pricey for me. Thanks! Airbus

Hi Jim: All OK now! I just successfully updated the navigraph data from my account and the files are dated 8/3/17 just as you said. When I loaded the Phenom the data was updated automatically. Thanks again for your help! Airbus
