Hi Jim: My folders are: FSX CarenadoNavigraph DefaultFSX G1000FSX Navigraph carenavigraph.db (dated 8/28/2015 size 113,885 KB) The Navigraph folder contains: NavData PROC (This folder contains all the airport txt files dated 9/10/13 e.g. KMFR contains SIDS, approaches, etc;) airports.txt ats.txt cycle_info.txt navaids.txt waypoints.txt Are the details of your folders the same as mine? Which file(s) are actually used by the Navigraph extension pack? What is the purpose of the DefaultFSX and the G1000FSX folders? Since I subscribe to the Navigraph FMS data, where will the new data go when I go to update all my aircraft including the Phenom? I am concerned that my update to the latest Phenom and the Navigraph extension were successful. Thanks for your help, Jim! airbus

I just tried to create a FPL from KFAT to KMFR (Rogue Valley) and after entering the arrival airport all information regarding a STAR, transition, or runway was missing! I tried entering a couple other airports i.e. KLGB KMRY and they displayed airport information. I just recently installed the navigraph update and the latest EMB505. What am I doing wrong? I just checked my Programs and Features (add/remove programs) and it shows the following: EMB505 V2 FSX/P3D version 1.0 EMB505 NAVIGRAPH FSX/P3D version 2.0 Could someone please verify that these are the correct entries for these products? I am using FSX on Windows 7. Thanks for your help! Airbus

Is there a way to control the taxi speed of this bird? I am finding that I have to ride the brakes constantly to control speed. I can easily taxi over 30 knots if I don't apply brakes! Is there a way to increase ground friction to get more reasonable speeds? Thanks for your help! Airbus

I support keeping the unofficial forums or whatever you want to call them! I always get quick advice and help from people using the same product that I use then I get wading through the general forums or trying to use key word searches. Airbus

I have unable to get version 2.4 update from the FlightSim store where it was originally purchased. I have downloaded the file from my account 3 times and it is always shows version 2.3.dated 1/22/17. I have emailed them twice about the problem and they have not replied. I can't get the update from Flysimware because I did not purchase it from them. Could anyone suggest the best way to proceed to get this update? Could Flysimware contact FSS on my behalf to resolve this matter? Thanks for any help! Al

Has anyone had difficulty getting all the animations to work that appear on the Aircraft Options page? Last month I found that the lower cabin door would not work and I have been in contact with Flysimware about this. Since then I now find that I can't get the luggage doors to work. All the other animations work for me. If anyone has found a solution for the lower cabin and luggage doors please let me know. I have even redownloaded and reinstalled the aircraft but have the same problems. I am using FSX on windows 7. Thanks! Airbus

Tom: Shift-E-2 and Shift-E-1 both worked to open the upper door only. I just purchased the Conquest couple of days ago. How can I check the version number? I have Aerosoft airbus aircraft that uses their software to open passenger and cargo doors, Not sure if this is really an issue, but I am not an expert at this stuff! I will submit the ticket and see what happens. Thanks! Airbus

Tom: Yes, I clicked on the lower part of the door and the hovered tooltip displayed "lower cabin door" but the upper door opened and closed instead. Within the cabin both doors worked perfectly clicking on the door lever or hanger! I noticed that if I am inside the cabin and choose an external window of the aircraft, the doors work perfectly! HOWEVER if I open Aircraft Options and click on the lower cabin door, only the upper cabin door will be opened and closed! Really strange. Any ideas on what is happening? Should submit a ticket to Flysimware for resolution? Thanks for your help! Airbus

For some reason I cannot open the bottom cabin door using the aircraft option click spot. The top door works OK. Anyone had this problem and got it fixed? Thanks! Airbus

Bill: Like you I have the same combination of REX +OD/ASN and have been happy also! In my case I have put a priority and money on learning to fly new aircraft. I have also invested in some payware airports and Orbx products.. I have not changed REX textures for a very long time and after some tinkering I have ASN set up the way I want it. I think it is a matter of what is important to you. Airbus

Please clarify the install procedure for the patch. After backing up my FLYSIM folder do I just unzip the patch files and overwrite the old files? Don't want to miss an important step. Al

I had a similar problem using Ottawa Canada airport scenery. When I selected a gate position FSX put my aircraft some distance away from the gate jetway. I also knew, like you mentioned, that the AFCAD the scenery was actually using was the default FSX bgl and not the new bgl for the new scenery. I posted this type of problem on the FS dreamteam support forum and was told that the AFCAD has to be a "complete" and "self-contained" AFCAD. "If not, and it's instead a file that is supposed to enhance the default AFCAD, for example just adding new things, GSX cannot use it." If you can figure out how to force GSX to use these types of AFCADs, please let me know. Good luck! Airbus

I deleted the software distribution software folder and rebooted my PC twice and the problem is fixed! As you said my windows redownloaded the files and the distribution folder is back but no problems have occurred. Maybe now windows can start downloading updates again. I have not had any updates for W-7 for a long time. Thanks again for your help! Airbus

Couple of questions: What is in the software distribution folder, what function does it perform and what will happen if I delete it? Will it come back? FYI, when I booted my PC I checked process explorer and everything looked normal and then I watched as a program called "trusted installer" started running and started the scvhost service with 12% CPU usage. Not sure this makes a difference but I am running windows 7. Thanks for your help! Airbus

I was checking process explorer today and noticed that svchost was just below idle process and using about 12% cpu usage. I am using W-7. I went into the task manager and located all the services for the PID for that svchost. I chose to stop the windows update service and the cpu usage for idle process went back to its usual 99%. I wonder how long this has been going on without my knowledge. Maybe I need to change my windows update options. Airbus Just rebooted and I still have the problem!

One of the neat effects while flying is the sun shining into the cockpit while the aircraft is turning. How is that effect produced? Can this effect be produced in FSX? Thanks! Airbus

I understand a new version of the MU-2 is out. Could someone please tell me what version it is and what changes/improvements were made? I tried to get an update from the Flightsim Store where I purchased my original copy but it still says version 2.2 which I already have installed. Is there another way to get the update? Hi Al: OK, I got it working for the spoilers! What I did, as you mentioned, was after setting the key and the yoke button for the softkey 6 event, I EXITED FSX and RESTARTED. That was it! I have never had to exit the sim and restart to get my assignments to work. LIVE AND LEARN!!! Hopefully the assignment will stick. I am now ready to program the other keys to assign the autopilot events. What specific keyboard keys do you use? For example, SOFTKEY 1 for HDG. Use the #1 key? Use the letter H? Do you have all the events assigned to keys? Meanwhile I am going to do some Lear 35A practice. :smile: Thanks again tor your help! Al
