June 15, 200421 yr I thought I'd come back to this and give a heads up...I've been flying since 1974, when, at the ripe age of 14 I got my first afternoon job at an airport washing airplanes and pumping gas and bumming rides every chance I could. In the years since, I've gone a long way from my roots but all along the way there are certain names that appear again and again. To the point that although you've never met the person, you feel like you know them and carry an immense sense of respect and admiration for them.One of those persons, for me, is Richard Collins. A name that readers of Flying magazine will recognize. I've subscribed to Flying for a very long time now and read his article every month.What has this got to do with the topic???Check out this month's Flying magazine. Richard has written, once a again what I consider a superb article that is very closely related to the topic and specifically to my original response that does a much better job of discussing high altitude flight.
