ActiveSkyX-Decoded wx and wx updates

Recommended Posts

Hi:

I've being using ActiveSkyX several years now and quite pleased with its performance. However, I did notice something quite strange last night with an upcoming Hurricane entering the East Cost of Yucatan' peninsula in Mexico (Ernesto Hurricane). The decoded wx presented by ActiveSkyX, was terribly wrong. I am just wondering if I have missed a patch or something several months back.

The other noticeable thing is I have set up ASX to collect data every 5 min. The METAR presented seems to be quite late. A 45 minutes delay. So I am wondering if something else I am missing somewhere.

On the attached JPG you can see the problem:

In addition to that, it is quite noticeable the differences between the METAR provided by SqBox and ActiveSkyX. I have seen that before still without any "logical" explanation other that a huge feed (SqBox) delay on the most recent data. But it is just a comment. Nothing to do with ASX.

I am wondering if someone could provide some direction as to how to fix the Decoded text and a better explanation on why ASX is not updating as it should.

Thanks a bunch,
