June 14, 200421 yr I have in the last two weeks been receiving an error and CTD with the following message:RunTime ErrorR6025.Pure virtual callWhat the heck is a pure virtual call???It mentions the FS9 cfg file so I have updated that a few times but then after awhile back comes the error message.Any help with this would be helpful. Thanks all,Jan
June 14, 200421 yr "C Run-Time Error R6025pure virtual function callNo object has been instantiated to handle the pure virtual function call. This error is caused by calling a virtual function in an abstract base class through a pointer that is created by a cast to the type of the derived class, but is actually a pointer to the base class. This can occur when casting from a void* to a pointer to a class when the void* was created during the construction of the base class."So, what addons are you using? Somewhere, someone has a bad pointer in some code! Could be an addon, gauge...Any other details you might share - when does the CTD occur and is it random, or does something trigger it? Always similar circumstances/plane/weather? Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
June 14, 200421 yr The CTD normally occurs when I'm flying through the Cascades and yes I'm using a fantastic scenery and Mesh add on that has become my favorite place to fly. I guess I will try and disable the scenery and see if this makes a difference. (I almost hope not.)Thanks much for the answer even if I didn't understand a word of it LOL.Best regards,Jan
June 14, 200421 yr Disable it and try again for the sake of thoroughness, but its' probably not the mesh or scenery - it doesn't have it's own code. Could be an object in the scenery if there are custom animations, etc, but not likely, either...After the crash, do you get an option to send microsoft an error report? Try sending it in one time if you do, sometimes this will lead you to some information on how to resolve a conflict. At a minimum, you can use that dialog by clicking on the "find out what the report contains" link to see which program/process is responsible for the crash.Maybe someone else will have some ideas for you.Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
June 14, 200421 yr I have placed a few hangers (Eurosoft?) in the area with operating doors. (Animation) I have added my own graphic Mods to the signs to personalize the hangers a bit. I've been placing them all over the place. I guess I can always remove them to check for a problem. When I check the error report it always mentions the FS9 Cfg file, That is why I keep replacing the Cfg file after a crash. I keep a spare Cfg on my desktop for just this reason.Thank you very much for your input, It is very helpful.Jan
