Wanted Expert for Israel Add-Ons (meshes & sceneries fo...

Hi there,I would love to fly over the Holy Land. I started flying the MS FS2004 only two weeks ago - then over Switzerland. I bought a super add-on called Switzerland professional which is absoutely realistic. I only had to choose - out of a series of 25 areas - the area in Switzerland I wanted to fly over. I tell you this about Switzerland because I would love to experience something similar for Israel. So I wanted to get good add-ons for Israel:I downloaded isjrs01.zip (containing subfolders "Jeusalem and Judea" and "Objects Jerusalem" for folder "Israel landclass") and "Israel srtm 90 m" and put them into the folder Addon SceneryBut I know nothing yet about meshes etc. What I did after installation: I created a new flight starting from Jerusalem Airport. What I got, were just the buildings that MS put in the scenery. But what I wanted was something like a realistic tour over Jerusalem. I would be so obliged if someone of you offered me a sort of outline what sceneries to install for Israel, what mesh, in the appropriate order to get me see Jerusalem from above. Thanks very much for your help.Best regards Elmar

I have that isjur01 installed and I used the folder hierarchy, not in AddOnScenery so I have priority control. I did use the folder names in the zip but put it under my root drive letter in my case as h:ISJUR01 . . .Now you should go into your scenery lib setup and first browse with the ADD button to ISJUR01Juruselem and Judea and click OK and it should be added to your scenery list. You will note this folder contains exclude and other scenery files under a single subfolder called scenery. Then repeat the procedure for Objects Juruselem. You will note that this folder contains both scenery and texture folders. This folder should have a number closer to 1 than the forst folder you added so the second folder added has higher priority than the accompanying exclude. This way it will not exclude itself.Anytime you add a scenery folder, when using the ADD button, always navigate to the folder title that has a scenery and texture, or just a scenery subfolder(s) under it. Having the scenery and/or texture folders two or more levels down from what you select will not add it to your scenery library. For any new scenery to be effective, you must close and restart the sim in which case you will be greeted by a reindexing scenery procedure. After the procedure finishes, you can create a flight in the new area and tour it.For this scenery, be sure to print out the two .jpg map files which have a more global airport to city view and the other the location of the landmark city objects. The author really did a nice detailed job but you must fly at about 3,000 MSL in a slow aircraft so the detail pops up and your scenery detail slider should be sety fairly high.Do a low pass over the old city as noted by the wall around it, then fly I think SSW to go over some easy to miss but additional towns as noted on the landmark .jpg with arrows labeled "to ...". Remember that some of the town spellings are as a native would label them and not the common labels you might expect.Enjoy!

Let me add on a seperate note that I have noted several Isreal scenery files including areas of Tel-Aviv, power plants, and other distinctive Isreal scenery in the scenery section of flightsim.com. There are two prolific Holy Land contributors on that site with both modern and traditional add-ons.Again, you will need to fly mostly low and slow above ground to appreciate these relatively small areas very easy to miss.
