August 21, 201213 yr the settings you mentioned seemed to work out ok. i will continue to tweak but i think this solved the bulk of my problem! Well Done... ...! I love juggling with the Sim weather settings in my Flight Sims, (and also Real Weather via Jeppesen, and REX Weather), and, as a Motorcyclist, I am always very aware of inclement weather, and in common with real Pilots, take great care in my decision whether to fly, or not to fly....Motorcycle, or not to Motorcycle! Clouds, I avoid like the Plague...and rain gets me wet! Paul.... A dedicated Cloud Watcher!.... ....!
August 22, 201213 yr Author If you are pretty good with weather functions, could you maybe answer this question for me....I am having trouble understanding the snapshot feature in ASE. I get that you load texture and take a snapshot if you like it, but how does it work with live weather? Is it an either/or option? Snapshot or live weather?

I use either the FS 2004 default "real weather" option, OR the FS 2004 REX "real weather" option, as an alternative to FS 2004 default and custom weather options. I try not to mix them all up! Paul....Whether the Weather?...or Measuring the Marigolds?... ...!
