August 11, 201213 yr Having migrated from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit, I am noticing that there are many older dated files in the boot drive that seem be left over from the previous version of Windows XP. I performed the migration using instructions posted on the various forums, and did not do a clean reformat install of Win7. The result is a lot of locked files that I cannot gain access to (yes, I am in admin mode with UAC turned off), and other files referencing WinXP. Is there a utility out there to clean up the boot drive without resorting to a reformat of the drive and a clean re-install of Win7? Thaks Dom
