August 11, 201213 yr My problem with ASE is that the real weather never is like I want it to be. So I tried to figure out historic days that have the weather I like but I am having a hard time finding weather that I like... Also loading new historic weather takes quite some time and often I don't see any difference in FSX. I know I can edit weather or (probably) create my own (?) but would that be any better then simply editing weather in FSX itself...? I would have loved it if ASE had come with a set of presets, just like FSX weather themes but then better. How do you setup specific weather if you want it? Or do you simply accept the weather real life is giving you? (I can never use REAL real time weather because my virtual flying takes place on the other side of the world and I don't want to fly during day time with night time weather.) I also still don't know what kind of weather setting to choose: standard, smooth (or whatever it is called) or DCW. I mainly do low GA flights in Orbx NA regions that are something like 50 to 150 nm long. What settings are best for such flights?
August 15, 201213 yr +1 Presets would be great! For now I find out that fastest way to set weather I like is going to map nad then drag and drop to map one of seven weather conditions. MSI Z87-G43 | i54670K@3400 | 16 Gb DDR3 @ 1866Mhz | Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 G1 6GB | SAMSUNG SyncMaster 2433BW 24" @ 1920 x 1200 | Windows 10 64 bit Pro | Saitek X-55 Rhino | TrackIR 5 Pro
August 15, 201213 yr To get real-life WX data specific for the date/time of your flight, you can select Single or Multiple Date/Time under Historical wx data page and download that weather. Then ASE will install the particular WX data into FSX. Hope this helps! Regards,Victor Quebec
