I've flown many virtual aircrafts, but never airliner. Now I want to start with them. And I don't really know what plane to buy. I want it to have 3d cockpit, good textures and that it would be good step for beginners. I've read some of reviews and end up with deciding whether to put FlightFactor Airbus A350-900 in shopping basket? Price 50 $ is acceptable. Any suggestions?

Exactly a week ago I've build my new PC with same CPU as you, and Corsair vengeance. But for now I only 8 GB. I still have old GPU (HD 5770). Planning to upgrade it at the end of the year.

Yes, I'm glad too. I've just spend money for PC upgrade and then FSX crashes ... I felt stone in my stomac. When I tried second time, I've used AMD Catalyst uninstall utility with same BSOD. But not in safe mode.

DDU helped me. I restarted to safe mode, start DDU, clean 13.9, restarted and then installed 13.4. It works!!!

Same problem. I've just build new PC and installed lates driver 13.9. I tried FSX and it crashes. And obviously I thought that's something wrong with my fresh configuration. Then I found that I'm not the only one. I tried to installed 13.4, but my system went crazy ... BSOD, 3 restarts, system restore. :wacko: . Now I don't know how to get to 13.4 without crashing my PC. I report problem to ATI.

OK, reinstall did the job.

I have same problem. But browsing to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" doesn't help. Error message shows again.

Sorry, I believe I didn't read your post carefully. Yes, this is unfortunate. It seems that pirates always find a way around, when legitimate users have problems. In practically every software.

Did you contact developer? They are very helpful and eager to nail down the problem.

@damocles: Yes, it's safe side by waiting. I went to cheaper side, since I bought Win8 upgrade for 29€ + get upgrade from Home to Pro and get Media Center Pack for free. In few months price will be higher. @Damian: I've opened it (#CPC-347-37968) and sent you a log file created by your instruction.

No, correction. Going back to normal win8 mode doesn't work. Must stay in Windows 7 compatibility.

I've upgraded from Win7 64bit Home Pre. to Win8 64 bit Pro. Now I get activation window every time I start Active Sky. I found similar topic in these forum, but it's for SSD device with same problem. I don't have SSD. Anyone with same problem?

It looks to me like cloud is hiding sun, so there is less shadow.

I'm wondering: is this FSX or mission feature? I was flying mission yesterday for almost two hours. Near the end I failed to meet objective. And in pilot log there was no flying time recorded.
