FSX Application Data Folder read error?

Featured Replies

I am receiving this error "FSX Application Data Folder read error ... Navigate to your FSX AppData Folder in the next screen".

I scanned the User's Guide but I couldn't find anything really to help despite the error box referring the user to the documentation.

Where can I find the FSX AppData folder?

What is your OS?

According to the FSX SDK notes

"Application data for Flight Simulator X running on Windows® XP is

stored in the C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application

Data\Microsoft\FSX folder.

However for Windows 7 application data is stored in:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX"

Yes ... eventually found it. I hadn't yet run FSX after installation so the folder hadn't been created yet. Once FSX was ran, it all worked.

I have same problem. But browsing to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" doesn't help. Error message shows again.

OK, reinstall did the job.

OK, reinstall did the job.

That usually takes care of most issues.
