How control GSX with voice using text to speech software?

Featured Replies

Hi to all, as title says.

Is there also any freeware program to send command with voice?

While some of us, including myself, expect forward that FS2Crew can support voice control for GSX I found a program, Voice Activated Command (14 days trial), which can control GSX with voice. This software is very simple and runs in the background while FSX is opened. Maybe it's similar to Voice Buddy but I don't know it. So sorry in advance if this is a redundant information and already know, but maybe someone doesn't knows that he can control GSX with the voice.

I find it very useful especially just landed and started the taxi procedure: very often I get lost looking for the keys to press to give commands to GSX, and thus risk making a waving taxi :-)

With this program you can assign any command (via text to speech) to give commands to GSX.

For example, when I say "ground" the GSX window pops up with the list of choices, then I say "one", "two", "three" etc etc and you can select the command you need.

I made very simple commands but I think you can give any command via text to speech. For example if in GSX the choice # 2 is "Request catering service", in Voice Activated Command you can associate the key "2" with voice command "Request catering service". So when you speech "Reques catering service" you pratically send "2" to GSX, I think we can do without problems.

While we wait forward for the FS2Crew and GSX update (please do it!) might be worth a try.

Hope this may helps someone.

Are you talking about FSX? Cause this is the Microsoft Flight Forum.

Yes it's for FSX, I'm sorry, I accidentally posted it here.

Can admin move this thread in the correct section?
