The problem I always see with these is that virtual control systems are still not 100% up to snuff to support this. How do you manipulate virtual switches without finding a mouse or keyboard that you can no longer see? It can be done, but it would be very clumsy. (Whoops I didn't mean to send the gear down at cruise speed!)

 

This would be useful for an FPS or other games with a small number of control inputs where your hands can remain fixed in place, but I'm I don't see this working with in-depth flight sims.

I believe it will be possible if you use a yoke + mouse as your primary means of manipulating the cockpit buttons. Perhaps someone can come up with a virtual glove that can interface?
