June 19, 200421 yr Hi,Can anybody give me some feedback on the ActiveSky software? Is it worth the money? Impact on performance?thank you!
June 19, 200421 yr IMO it's definitely worth the money. Impact on performance is similar to that of the default real world weather, but the weather is more accurate.Consider: I've been using AS since WXRe was released for FS2002. That's some 700 days at $70 or $0.10 a day.And every day I use it that price per day drops.
June 19, 200421 yr Hi,I agree with Jeroen! Though I only just bought it (alas, 2 days before their promotion offer :(, I'm very impressed so far. My main reason for buying it was to get rid of the nasty wind changes, and it seems to work. Not 100% but Damien & co, has something up their sleeve, something involving (a new version of?) FSUIPC. That should take care of the shifts. Also clouds look better, maybe just because more types are used at a given time, so yes - I recommend it!BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH
June 19, 200421 yr Smoother, more realistic weather makes it worth it to me. But I recommend you run it on a WideServer connected 2nd computer to save your frame rates.Carmine http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/Images/wave.gif
