August 25, 201213 yr Hi all, I have recently re-installed RC4 v4.2 after upgrading to Windows 7 and am having an issue with the initial running of MakeRwys.exe. The program can be run directly from my FSX root, but RC4 does not find it when using 'Rebuild Scenery DB' . When I do run it from the root, it goes through the motions but does not find any airports or runways! Does anyone have any ideas? I have Acceleration, REX and FSPassengersX installed, but I don't think they would have anything to do with it. Cheers! DeeQ
August 25, 201213 yr Make sure you have the correct path for your FS folder when prompted by RC. If on a network and RC is a client to your FS host, then run makerws directly first and when running the scenery rebuild and Yes to the are you on WifeFS prompt. If RC and FS are on the same pc then answer no. In you FS folder check the date/time of the r5.csv file after running the scenery rebuild, then go into your rcv4 or rcv4x\data folder and check the date-time of the r4,csv and a4.csv. Make sure during the rebuild process that you answered OK to all of the progress prompts that occur. If on a Win 7 or VISTA machine setup have a shortcut to RC with a property set to run as admin, a program level, not use level, setting. You should also update your RC version to 4.3. Send an e-mail to [email protected] for a download link and include your ordering e-mail address, user name, and purchase information so your record is updated if you need a new key. If any error messages occurred check out the pinned topics at the forum head. Also be sure you have updated fsuipc and makerwys from the links at the forum top ann again rebuild your scenery database.
