June 22, 200421 yr HiI am no Dash 8 expert at all - but when I flew this a/c I also got the high pitched noise, but I just went to the overhead panel and turned the air conditioning off and the noise faded out. This is probably not the correct thing to do with procedures but it got rid of the sound.Tim
