September 1, 201213 yr Started a saved flight and received the subject warnings. Is it possible to correct the condition "on the fly"? If not, how must a flight be saved in order to avoid this issue? Thank you, Ken Boardman Ken Boardman
September 2, 201213 yr Author Followup flight did not have the subject issue so I'm guessing that this issue (on previous flight) raised it's ugly head because when I created / saved it, I wasn't holding my mouth right ~ Best to all, Ken Ken Boardman
September 3, 201213 yr Author Twood still be nice to know if someone who's experienced this issue has figured out how to correct it "in flight" (without exiting / restarting). Ken If I didn't normally talk to myself so mukin fuch, this thread experience wouldn't seem so normal to me ~ Kenagain Ken Boardman
September 3, 201213 yr Well you may try resetting the cabit altitude system when it happens and check if you have any doors open, because your problem is actually a decompression.
September 4, 201213 yr Author Thank you for the tip Loren. I had attempted switching to manual cabin pressure and adjusting altitude, but it was ineffective. However, perhaps the cabin (or cargo) door logic was reversed due my saved flight being faulty. Next time the issue occurs I'll try some reverse logic by opening the door(s) and and see if the issue subsides. Will also do a test flight and if the issue is not present I'll open the door(s) and see if I can reproduce the exact symptoms. Aside from the earache ~ it will be interesting. Best regards, Ken Ken Boardman
September 5, 201213 yr Also remember that if you have a decompression event and you manage to reseal the leak, it takes quite some time to repressurize on the engine power alone. To quickly repressurize you need to descend to 10000 feet and open the valves on the cabin system, this will quickly get the cabin altitude down to 10000 feet and it should be able to repressurize from there.
