FSX - Suggested Settings?

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for suggestions on how to get the most out of FSX in terms of settings and FPS. I recently purchased a new computer, and I am trying to optimize performance.

I mainly like to fly the airliners:

  • default CRJ-700, 744, and the 738 with add-on liveries from AVSIM.
  • airbus models from Thomas Ruth.
  • freemium 757s from Just Flight

I use the afcad files downloaded from Avsim as well.

Nick Needham is your best source.

There's multiple articles he's done from tuning Windows 7, FSX and Nvidia Inspector.

Best bet for a great looking sim,

Cat,

Thank you for responding to my post. I will try your suggestions? What do you do for the Terrain in the settings?

Geddy_2012,

I will look up Nick Needham's articles. Thank you for responding.

Thank you both very much,
