June 30, 200421 yr FSGenesis edits the USGS data to fix anomolies. The stuff that causes the holes and spikes in the terrain.Does Raimondo edit the data to fix those problems or run the raw data as is?That would be an important issue to consider when selecting a mesh product.
June 30, 200421 yr Does Raimondo edit the data to fix those problems or run the raw data as is?You never go that way - this is not a option.Looking at this usgs 30 ned - i can tell - usgs has done a massive job - a job is currently and continuosly active to fix the 30 m ned - Even said so - spikes and voids can appear here and there - i see now and them but those are very few.38.2m base just goes with the raw usgs - when base is finished - than further revision - and clean up - in these days - there is good technology available to fix this minor incovenients - quickly and efficiently.if you look at the ned 30 m of these days - you will see very few anomalies - compare to ned 30 m of 2 or 3 years ago.ray
June 30, 200421 yr I like it, and I must say I have used nothing but freeware mesh since the release of FS2004. I purchased a payware version of mesh for FS2002 and had ALOT of problems with it, so I just decided that I would not spend money on that again. In comparison, there is no real difference between the freeware stuff, versus the payware stuff. Some of the detail might not be as good, but oh well.
