Airbus Vol 2 A380 (stray) Nav Light

Featured Replies

When I reinstalled my A380 I seem to have wound up with an extra white Nav light or one that is not placed correctly.

It appears about 10' below the left wing tip > please see attached image. Also the wingtip vortices (when present)

appear approx 2' below each wingtip, but this is not nearly as annoying as the stray Nav light. Any tips regarding

a fix for these issues will be appreciated.

best to all,

Another Screen cap showing the "offset" wingtip vortices.

Stealth `Jumbo' ......... { This will happen when the aircraft.cfg " Texture= " parameter is incorrect :ph34r: }

OK, I have played with this. If your A380 has the subject problem you can try the below modification to the aircraft.cfg " [LIGHTS] " section. Recommend first backing up

your existing A380 aircraft.cfg file; then remove the entire " [LIGHTS] " section and add the following in it's place. In addition to removing the (apparently meaningless) stray

light, you may also find that your A380's tail light has been repositioned slightly further aft, centered and correctly located to below the APU exhaust. If this wasn't a Wilco

product I would be baffled by this stuff ~:)

The stuff :

[LIGHTS]

//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

//light.0 = 5, -70.60, -119.3, -11.50, fx_landing , //useless entry

light.1 = 3, -138.50, -0.40, 14.50, fx_navwhih ,

light.2 = 1, -11.00, 1.20, 26.0, fx_beaconh ,

light.3 = 1, -11.00, 1.20, -4.0, fx_beaconh ,
