Well I've never been to NZ but I've certainly flown under such "leaden skys" here in the UK and I thought the Sim made this lighting condition look very real.

 

One more leg and back to Wellington and I'll head back to the PNW for a change. I await the UK with mixed feelings. Excited they're doing it and wondering if my expectations are set too high? Time will tell.

One things for sure the prevailing weather in the UK sees pretty low cloud bases and if you're flying following the REAL airspace restrictions a good deal of your sim time will be below 2500' That in itself means they have to get it right?
