Minor Nag with Default Airport

Featured Replies

I assume UTX is causing the problem, but I have a highway running through the runway of the default airport in Norfolk. I've tried rearranging the scenery library to no avail. Can anyone help?

Be aware that scenerysolutions prevents the usage of UTX in P3D by their EULA.

Apart from that: does it work in FSX? And most importantly, is it OK when UTX is not installed?

Thanks for the reminder............... According to google maps the road must tunnel under the runway. With the other scenery disabled, and in the default P3d, the road does go "under" the runway, and the cars do not cross the runway. With the other scenery enabled, the cars continue on across the runway, to my annoyance! Although from time to time they do not cross the runway, but disappear as they should.

Well, then I guess it is up to the "uncompatibility" between the scenery and the P3D.

No I don't think so... Actually it has it just right, the road actually tunnels underneath the runway, which it more or less depicts, it just doesn't know it has to make the traffic disappear for a few seconds. The default scenery has the road stop and start again on each side, which isn't quite as accurate. It just so happens that this unusual case is the default airport, so I noticed.

Which airport are we talking about exactly, ICAO? I will try in FSX. P3D is in another boot. And my default flight is changed anyway.

The airport is KNGU. The road is at the west end of 10/28. I've seen the same thing happen with traffic crossing the runway. Turn off traffic in "the other scenery" and it should stop. I still have ground traffic set at 5% in P3D.

I have never checked to see if KNGU is where it should be. The "other scenery" puts the roads where they shoud be but FSX (possibly P3D) has airports that are not positioned correctly causing some issues. I doubt if this is the case here. Looks like the traffic just doesnt know about the tunnel if there is a tunnel.

PS Just checked Google Earth and the road is located properly and there is a tunnel. The only way I can see fixing the traffic is to turn it off in "the other scenery".

Since you installed Utx has your default car traffic disappeared?(With utx traffic disabled). Also have you noticed cars painted on the roads at night time? I have auto imprint turned off and see the painted cars only at night.

This is FSX, so I guess it is not up to the P3D.
