September 20, 201213 yr Hi, I've had the B55 a week (last minute waver for the resale) and am very pleased with it. However recently I've experienced intermittent sound issues, either it's fine or I get all of the following: Tyre noise MUCH too loud on runway Engine too quiet at start/idle/taxi but too loud at full throttle A LOUD hiss with a repetitive tick overlaying the engine sounds Pops from the speakers being over-driven It's as though someone has flipped all the mixer controls on a sound-deck, so everything is at the wrong level. Can happen from FSX startup or after a while. When it happens I can load another aircraft, which sounds fine, then reload the Baron and that sounds fine. I can't do that for the missions though, so my training is interrupted.... I'll post on the MilViz forum when I work out how, but if anyone has any thoughts... Cheers Keith ...

September 21, 201213 yr Author I think its an FSX problem rather than a bug in the Baron, just the complexity of the Baron is exposing it maybe. Running on Windows XP with 4GB or RAM, that should be OK? Cheers Keith ...

September 21, 201213 yr Author Yes, FSX + Accelleration. Some of the time it works fine. Last night it was working, exited FSX, ran firefox, restarted FSX and the sound was bust again. Tempted to reinstall FSX. Cheers Keith ...
September 21, 201213 yr Commercial Member I'm going to have to go with it's something on your side rather than ours... the fact that it's intermittent and that we've had no other complaints... well... it does point to something over there... Sorry. Please let me know if a reinstall of FSX does the trick. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support.
