June 30, 200421 yr Hello togetherI have a problem and I wanted to ask you wheter you could help me. ATC always sends me to the same gate. Lets take an example: Madrid Barajas airport. I have installed an AFCAD2-File for Barajas and there are now so many gates, but ATC always send me to Gate T16. I dont know why. There are about 100 gates but no, ATC always wants me to taxi to T16. And T16 is a cargo gate. In my Aircraft CFG there is no indication that my airplane is a cargoplane. Its really disgusting :-(Could you help me?Thanks very muchgreetzRoberto
June 30, 200421 yr Roberto,If you have Lee Swordy's AFCAD2 program, you can look at the gates on your Barajas AFCAD file and see how they're assigned to various airlines. A lot of major airports have websites with terminal maps that can help you verify the correctness of the gate assignments. In your aircraft.cfg file, under the [flightsim.x] header for the plane you're flying, you should locate the following two lines:atc_parking_types=GATEatc_parking_codes=ASH("ASH" is the three-letter code for Mesa Airlines, so you'll have to find and enter the appropriate code for your aircraft.)Hope that helps.Kurt Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
June 30, 200421 yr Author The atc_parking_code is unfortunately ignored by ATC when chosing a gate for a user aircraft. You should be able to get it to send you to a normal gate but if you want it to send you to the correct gate by airline then I'm afraid you are going to be disappointed.Check your user aircraft atc_parking_type is set to GATE and check the assignments of all the parking positions using AFCAD2.Then pray.Best of luck,Ian
