Hi guys, need some help since I could not find (i' m sure it's out their) the answer to following:

 

Start cold and dark

turn on battery

connect ground power and verify that AC 400 hz available

turn both IRS from OFF to align

the right IRS does not extinguish the "on DC" light

in a few seconds the bip-bip sounds

 

only when i turn the APU on and connect power does the bip bip go away

 

why? what am i doing wrong, why is the on DC light stays on when ground power is connected?
