Hey guys, I am slightly confused over my autopilot problem. I can activate LNAV and VNAV just fine, but my autopilot didn't respond when clicked, until I was over 10,000 feet in the air. Current conditions:

 

Flight plan being followed via the FMC

Autothrottle set

BOTH F/D switches set to active

RWAY heading set correctly

Altitude set to cruising

 

Do you guys have any reason why my autopilot took forever to activate?

The autopilot will not activate if the aircraft is not properly trimmed or if there is enough force on the control column.

Ah that makes sense because I do recall forgetting to set the trim of the aircraft, thanks
