MCE & MS Security Essentials

Featured Replies

Since installing lastest version 2.5.5, Security Essentials is warning me that MCE is an unknown program and needs checking by MS.

Anybody else seeing this or is it my settings?

Cheers, Mike

Thanks, not only me. Wasn't worried, been using MCE too long, only it's only just started doing it, Thought maybe my security too high or some such.

Cheers

It must just be the new version. I expect the message will stop once MS have checked the new file and update their database to include it. Till then you can stop the message popping up by adding mce.exe to the MSSE exclusion list (Settings.. Excluded files and locations)
