I hate to bother anyone, but, I have a problem that you may be able to help with.

 

I had to reformat my hard drive and am trying to reinstall FSX.

 

I put FSX disk 1 into the DVD drive and it sits and you can hear the drive working, I let it sit and work for over 30 minutes and it only shows about half of the files on the disk.

 

I have 2 DVD burner drives and it does the same on both drives.

 

Is it that I have bad drives or has the Master disks somehow gone bad?

Carefully clean the disc. I would suspect that it has finger smudges. Be sure to clean with a damp cloth (no commercial cleaners) from the center hole to the outer edge, not around the circumference of the disc.
