How to disable "Panel State Autosave" ?

Featured Replies

Hi.

As the search didn't came back with any answer I'd like to ask if someone know, how to disable the "Panel State Autosave".

I already got about 30.000 saved Panelstates at ..(FSX)/PMDG/PMDG737NGX/PANELSTATE, which I don't need at all...

3 saved Panelstates per second...

In the FMS PMDG SETUP I can't find a button to disable this feature.

Where do I have to look?

Thank you

Ralf

Do you have FSUIPC? If positive, make sure the autosave function is disabled. Everytime you (or FSUIPC) save a flight, the NGX automaticaly creates a new panel state file correspondent to the FSX save file.

Oi Matheus!

Yes, I had FSUIPC Autosave ON at this time, but I haven't seen that connection so far.

I thought, it would save only "own stuff", but not the PMDG Panel State.

OK, I will check that out.

Obrigado.

3 per second? FSUIPC only saves at best once per second (if I recall properly). But if FSUIPC autosave is on, then you probably need to add some lines to the fsuipc.ini file in the autosave section or the panel states will accumulate without end. I have

AlsoManage1=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.sav

AlsoManage2=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.0.rte

AlsoManage3=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.0.rte

AlsoManage4=PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\PanelState\*.FLT.fmc

Regarding the two .rte entries, I was having some trouble and once it all started working, I never went back to determine if I needed both.

FSUIPC indeed only saves FSX information, but whenever a flight is saved the NGX saves a correspondent panel state, so that when you load that flight, the airplane is configured exactly as it was when you saved it. It's automatic. And because FSUIPC saves the flights with different numbers, the NGX keeps creating new panel state files.
