easy io card ?

Featured Replies

hi i'm in a procesd of making a cockpit i will use mainly usb modules from opencockpits i have their MCP works great on the list to buy are COM,NAV and EFIS.

for the MIP it wil be homebuild so i would like to make some not all but some of the buttons/switches that are found on MIP myself some guagues might buy like the clock (useless but nice) landing gear leaver now most of these are not USB so i will have to conect them to something....

ok so i dont confuse anyone lets start from begging...

my first step will be to add some simple buttons/switches/leds etc, so say if i flip a switch its like a clicked on screen with mouse maybe borrow some switches from overhead such as landing lights strobes etc... so...

what IO board or boards would be the best to start with

if i understans say i wanted led go ON when switch is ON 'seatbelt' great example might need more then one board...

thanks for any info

i will be using level-d 767 so if there is some compatibility issues that would matter

thanks for your time

Andy

could we have that in english please?

You need the USB Mastercards, Input and Output cards sold by Opencockpits themselves.

The Input card will connect to all switches, buttons, dials, etc.

The Output card will connect to the LEDs.

Both cards connect to the Mastercard, and which in turn is controlled by a software called SIOC, which Opencockpits provide for free.

Andy, I have USB LED outputs card and it's very easy to program. BTW, I will send you the SIOC script for the flaps later on. I'm currently at work.
