Ummm.... is this supposed to happen!?

Featured Replies

So tonight I was bringing in my NGX to Flytampa Boston Logan Int. V3, when right at touchdown, the wheels sank into the ground. Then the wheels can off the ground, then back into the ground. This happened like 4 times, then FSX stopped and said "CRASH!" and restarted the flight.

But I also noticed that the contrails from the wing were bright white.... I dunno.

The landing was pretty hard.. and I didn't know I had the crash settings enabled. Is this an ERROR? Or is it supposed to happen?

Screenie of the incident.

??? Can someone help?

Does this happen with other airplanes? Does it happen every time?

I think it was because of the realism settings. I just did the preset landing for the NGX, and it landed fine...

I'll do another full flight and report back.

Chances are you landed too hard, broke the landing gear and the white 'contrails' are sparks from the wingtips scraping along the tarmac. Try to improve your landing skills and see if the results change.
