Strange problem with my FS9

Featured Replies

A few days ago I started up FS 9 for the first time in about a month. I was flying the Meljet V.2 777 with the Continental livery. Everything was fine in the sim. No problems at all. Then I closed the sim with the aircraft parked at the gate and I was in the external view mode using activecam. Now when I try to start the sim I get this message: "Visual model could not be displayed. Boeing 777-200ER MR Continental Airlines" Does anyone know how I can fix this? I was thinking if I could get the sim to try to load one of the default aircraft on intro I could at least get the sim going again. Is it possible to change what aircraft the sim loads on startup with out actually having the sim running? Mabey something in my FS confg file? Thanks in advanceRegan

Regan - Open the fs9.cfg file and find the section labled STARTUP. The line that reads SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN probably shows =1. Changing the 1 to a 0 (zero) should get you started again. Or, just rename the fs9.cfg file and when the sim starts it will build you a new one which will default to the opening screen.Doug

Thanks so much for your help Doug. I had to delete the cfg. file and everything works now.
