Need a little help with the new KSNA scenery.

Featured Replies

I have installed this new scenery and it's excellent. After using the update and the AFCAD from Ed I have run into problems though. I've lost the static aircrafts and I don't see GA planes landing on the short runway. What am I doing wrong...could anybody help please?-Mikkel

Yes... use my AFCAD! (just teasing). Static aircraft is based on on scenery density sliders.... double check you have them up high enoug or else they will disappear. For the GA landing issue, I would email him directly. He set-up a "two-layer" AFCAD and that might be a little tricky... can't help ya there.

You're right...I had my scenery complexity set to normal...thanks.-Mikkel

I was wondering. Looking at the way Ed did this afcad, wouldn't I have to recompile the traffic bgl or add the 2SNA airport in order for it to work? In other words how does the AI planes know that there is a new airport called 2SNA?-Mikkel

After having recompiled GA-Traffic I do see planes landing at 2SNA but also KSNA...would it be safe to turn off the GA traffic from within fs9 or would that cancel out the GA-Traffic file?-Mikkel

I keep answering my own questions. :DI tried to uncheck the GA from within fs9 but that does not work. How am I supoosed to keep GA planes from going to KSNA?I found an error in the AFCAD too. If you look at the picture you can see that the taxiway is off. Also...whenever a plane lands at 2SNA it disappears right after roolout?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/83559.jpg

Hey there, Planes usually disappear after landing if there aren't enough parking spaces for them in the afcad (you might try increasing the size of the gate/ramp parking spaces for the GA aircraft too, if there appear to be plenty of open spots available and the problem persists.)To use the overlay 2SNA, you might try downloading the program AI Traffic Mover, from here at avsim, and using it to move all your GA aircraft flightplans over to 2SNA. I'd try to help more, but I'm not anywhere near my setup right now...Good luck! Mike Tucson, AZ"You must be the change you wish to see in the world"--Mahatma Gandhi

Yea I figured the problem might be the lack of parking spaces. I have now seen planes landing and parking so I guess that was it. I don't know about moving all my GA flightplans...I guess I'm too lazy. :DI do have another question though. Why does the file SNAtaxisign.BGL show up as an AFCAD file?...oh and funny thing. Spot anything wrong with this picture? :Dhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/83567.jpg

Hi guys...been away all day at my sisters wedding..........if a/c disappear after landing it is because there are not enough parking spaces............if you still see GA at Rwy 1L/19R i suggest you check your flightplans text file again ...I have a 100% pass rate of GA t/o and arr at Rwy 1R/19Lnote: I do not have Dash 8's landing at KSAN. :)[email protected]

Hi Ed,Actually I'm not using any other flightplans other than the ones generated by GA-Traffic and the default flightplans that came with fs9. So I guess that unless I use traffic mover I'm out of luck. :)Are you going to update your AFCAD file so that they don't taxi next to the taxiway?-Mikkel
