October 22, 201213 yr Is there a way for me to read the Air temp value that ASE sends to FSX to use for other puposes? I am in the process of converting a Cessna 172 fuselage into a flight sim cockpit. A link to my website and blog are in my signature line below if you are interested in looking at my project. One of the hardware items I want to enable in the sim pit is the outside air temp thermometer. I snagged a thermometer and the air vents from a 172 and will be driving the thermometer needle with a servo motor but I have not figured out how to pull the Outside Air Temp value yet. Most of my other hardware is pulling it's data from FSX via FSUIPC, but as best I can tell, FSX does not output an offset for Outside Air Temp. Is there a way for me to read the Air temp value that ASE sends to FSX? With ASE is using Sim Connect to talk to FSX, what would I need to do to read that piece of data from Sim Connect? The challenge after that of course will be to send that value to my servo card to move the thermometer needle, but that's a separate issue. First I need to find out if I can get at the needed temperature value. Thanks! Tom G. Tom G.
