Turned DX10 preview off to get NVidia 3D going again..FYI

Featured Replies

Hi,

FYI...

After loading in Ants Drifter demo and then the full paid version...my FSX setup stopped running in stereo 3D for some unknown reason...I checked with NVidia support but their advise didn't work (new beta driver install, contact the s/w developer for a patch)...so I tried turning off DX10 and FSX started running again in stereo 3D!!!...I am so pleased its doing so again...its the only way I like flying in FSX now...!!!

WIN7 64bit, NVidia 3D glasses etc and ASUS 3D VG236 LCD monitor..., FSX Gold Edition from memory...

Hi Laurie,

I doubt DX10 preview is compatible with Nvidia 3D. I have the 3D glasses and setup too but haven't used it for some time as my main monitor is not 3d capable and I have to shut it down to get 3d working on the secondary monitor. Just a pain but I did like the immersion and might try it again soon based on your comments. I think you'll enjoy stereo 3d much more than the DX10 preview setups. Hopefully we will one day have full support for stereo 3d and DX11 or DX12 sometime in the near future for a new flight sim.

Best regards,

Jim
