Antenna Warning Lights

Featured Replies

I remember a file a long time ago that made the default red lights on various antenna towers visible in the day and for longer distances. For the life of me, I can't remember the file. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Brian,

I am not sure about the daytime visibility part, however the file(s) I have been using are:

'obslightv1.zip' from here at AVSIM; http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=obslightv1.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search

I have another file named 'rdotwrlghts2.zip' that I have and am not even sure whether I'm using all or part of or any of it at all. This file doesn't seem to be available anymore that I could find. Its stated purpose is to slow the blink rate of radio tower lights (stated as a update to another file). That said, I'm not sure if it is even relevant but I thought it worth a mention. If the obsslightv1 file is not the one you are looking for and wish to have a look at rdotwrlghts2.zip drop me a PM with email and I'll send it out to you.

I just did a little more thorough search at FlightSim.com and came up with; rdotwrl2.zip

"FS2004 Revised Radio Tower Lights. Makes stock radio towers visible at a greater distance. By Matthew L. Purcell."

rdotwrlghts2.zip is a update to that file.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mel
