July 13, 200421 yr I see on the morning TV that lots of rain and bad wx fell in the east of the US yesterday (7/12), resulting in severe flooding. Is anyone local to those areas able to give times for METAR downloads that would represent heavy rain (assuming it didn't rain all day yesterday). I hope that no-one here suffered any hardship due to the bad weather.Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
July 13, 200421 yr It rained pretty much all day in Northern NJ yesterday, but try around 4 PM at Morristown, KMMU.
July 13, 200421 yr Bruce,It rained extremely hard north of Baltimore beginning around 3PM and tapering off later in the evening. I think you'll find some really heavy stuff around 4 PM on 7/12 north of Baltimore.Jim Y
July 13, 200421 yr Bruce,I just happen to be flying the PMDG 737 from KDEN to KLGA yesterday afternoon. Landed about 1600 MDT in very heavy weather. The approach was to runway 13 at LGA where winds were 150/10 with heavy rain. Using AS2004 the approach was really ugly, did not see the runway until 1000 feet and I had very heavy rain, really fun to fly.BobKDEN
